Preserving India's Harmony: The Dharmik Jan Morcha Initiative
India is a unique country and society in entire world for its living with togetherness with huge diversity and plurality. We have followers of all religions and ideologies, groups from different ethnicities, different linguistic regions, people from different geographic regions with their own culture and food habits. We have a long history of all these groups living together with Peace, Harmony, Mutual Respect and Trust with their own identities. We have won freedom with this unity and togetherness. We are the largest democracy on this globe with an inclusive constitution with very strong basic values of Equality, Liberty & Freedom of choice and expression, Justice and Fraternity. This is the real Idea of India which made us very strong. To maintain and strengthen this heritage our religious & social leaders and institutions has played a very important role. All the groups & communities used to share their joys and sorrows together, live like a family having strong bonds of emotions and empathy towards each other.
It is very unfortunate that a degeneration in this legacy and values has taken place at a very faster rate. The main factors for this degeneration are, aggressive majoritarian cultural supremacy movements, opportunistic, divisive, hate and communal polarization-based politics. These rising divisive trends in Indian society and polity is becoming a grave threat to our Unity, Strength, Peace, Progress and Prosperity.
In view of this threat and challenge before we Indians it required to strengthen the atmosphere of mutual interaction, knowing each other’s faith, culture and traditions, Communication, dialogue and working together on commonly agreed issues. Since we are a society with a huge number following religion of our own choice, the religious leaders have a key role and great responsibility. The religious leaders need to come together, work for strengthening moral values, communal Harmony, Mutual Respect and Mutual Trust. These leaders need to strive together against Hate and division in society and commonly agreed social evils which are weakening our Society. These religious leaders need to work to establish in the society that it is not the religion which is responsible for this atmosphere of hate and confrontation but the abuse of religion for political and other reasons.
In view of the above-mentioned context and objectives a national level forum of religious leaders namely “Dharmik Jan Morcha” was established and is working for last two decades. Similar forums with the same objectives has been established and working in some states. It is the need of the hour that such forums are established and become active in all the states.
Aims & Objectives
- To work together for strengthening Communal Harmony and Mutual Trust among religious communities.
- To work together for strengthening commonly agreed virtues and moral values in society.
- To spread the message of unity and mutual respect by working together despite of diversity in faith and culture.
- To work together for the service of human kind in situation of natural calamities.
- To eradicate misconception about other religious communities in the society.
- To encourage inter community meetings, dialogue, interaction and understanding each other’s faith and culture.
- To strive together against the commonly agreed evils in the society.
- To raise a collective voice against all kinds of injustice, oppression and exploitation in the society.
- To eradicate misconception about other religious communities in the society.
To raise voice and stand for protecting religious rights of every citizen given by our constitution.
धार्मिक जनमोर्चा
परिचय
विशाल विविधता और बहुलता के बावजूद एकसाथ मिलजुल कर रहने की वजह से भारत पूरी दुनिया में एक अनोखा देश और समाज के रूप में जाना जाता है। हमारे यहां सभी धर्मों और विचारधाराओं के अनुयायी, अलग-अलग जातियों के समूह, अलग-अलग भाषाई एवं भौगोलिक क्षेत्र के लोग हैं जिनकी अपनी संस्कृति और खान-पान की आदतें हैं। इन सभी वर्गों का अपनी-अपनी पहचान रखते हुए शांति, सद्भाव, पारस्परिक सम्मान और विश्वास के साथ मिलकर रहने का एक लंबा इतिहास रहा है। इसी एकता और अखंडता से हमने आजादी हासिल की है। समानता, स्वतंत्रता और इच्छा तथा अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता, न्याय और बंधुत्व के बहुत मजबूत बुनियादी मूल्यों पर एक समावेशी संविधान के साथ हम इस दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र हैं। यह भारत का मूल विचार है जिसने हमें दृढ बनाया है। विरासत को बनाए रखने और प्रबल करने के लिए हमारे धार्मिक एवं सामाजिक नेताओं और संस्थानों ने बहुत महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। सभी वर्ग और समुदाय अपना सुख-दुख एक साथ साझा करते थे, एक-दूसरे के प्रति भावनाओं और सहानुभूति के मजबूत बंधन वाले परिवार की तरह रहते थे।
यह बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि इस विरासत और मूल्यों में तीव्रता से गिरावट आई है। इस पतन की मुख्य वजहें हैं आक्रामकपूर्ण बहुसंस्कृति वर्चस्व आंदोलन, अवसरवादी, विभाजनकारी, नफरत और सांप्रदायिक आधार पर ध्रुवीकरण आधारित राजनीति। भारतीय समाज और राजनीति में बढ़ती विभाजनकारी प्रवृत्तियाँ हमारी एकता, शक्ति, शांति, प्रगति और समृद्धि के लिए गंभीर खतरा बनती जा रही हैं।
इन खतरों और चुनौतियों को देखते हुए हम भारतीयों को आपसी मेलजोल, एक-दूसरे की आस्था, संस्कृति और परंपराओं को जानने, संचार, संवाद और आम सहमति वाले मुद्दों पर मिलकर काम कर के माहौल को मजबूत बनाने की आवश्यकता है। चूंकि हम एक ऐसा समाज हैं जहां बड़ी संख्या में लोग अपनी पसंद के धर्म का पालन करते हैं, इसलिए धार्मिक नेताओं की भूमिका और जिम्मेदारी महत्वपूर्ण हो जाती है। धर्मगुरुओं को एक साथ आकर नैतिक मूल्यों, सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव, आपसी सम्मान और आपसी विश्वास को सुदृढ़ करने की जरूरत है। हमारे समाज को कमजोर करने वाली बुराइयों यथा नफरत और विभाजन तथा आम सहमति वाली सामाजिक बुराइयों के खिलाफ धार्मिक नेताओं को मिलकर प्रयास करना होगा । धार्मिक नेताओं को समाज में यह स्थापित करने के लिए काम करने की जरूरत है कि नफरत और टकराव के इस माहौल के लिए धर्म ज़िम्मेदार नहीं है, बल्कि राजनीतिक और अन्य कारणों के लिए धर्म का दुरुपयोग जिम्मेदार है।
उपर्युक्त संदर्भ और उद्देश्यों को ध्यान में रखते हुए धार्मिक नेताओं का एक राष्ट्रीय स्तर मंच “धार्मिक जन मोर्चा” स्थापित किया गया है और यह पिछले दो दशकों से काम कर रहा है। कुछ राज्यों में इसी तरह का समान मंच समान उद्देश्यों के लिए समान स्थापित किया गया है और वे सक्रिय हैं। यह समय की आवश्यकता है की सभी राज्यों में ऐसे मंच स्थापित किये जाएं जो सक्रिय रूप से काम करें।
लक्ष्य और उद्देश्य
- धार्मिक समुदायों के बीच सांप्रदायिक सद्भाव और आपसी विश्वास को मजबूत करने के लिए मिलकर काम करना।
- अंतर-सामुदायिक बैठकों, संवाद, बातचीत और एक-दूसरे के विश्वास और संस्कृति को समझने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना।
- समाज में सर्वसम्मत गुणों और नैतिक मूल्यों को मजबूत करने के लिए मिलकर काम करना।
- समाज में सर्वसम्मत बुराइयों के विरुद्ध मिलकर प्रयास करना।
- एकता और आपसी सम्मान का संदेश फैलाने के लिए आस्था और संस्कृति में विविधता के बावजूद मिलकर काम करना।
- समाज में व्याप्त सभी प्रकार के अन्याय, अत्याचार और शोषण के विरुद्ध सामूहिक आवाज उठाना।
- प्राकृतिक आपदाओं की स्थिति में मानव जाति की सेवा के लिए मिलकर काम करना।
- समाज में व्याप्त दूसरे धार्मिक समुदायों के प्रति गलत धारणाओं को दूर करना।
- सभी समुदायों के लिए धर्म पालन की स्वतंत्रता के माहौल को मजबूत करना।
- हमारे संविधान द्वारा प्रदत्त प्रत्येक नागरिक के धार्मिक अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए आवाज उठाना और खड़ा होना।
फोरम के लिए कुछ गाइड लाइन
फोरम में इस बात पर सहमति हुई है कि:
- यह फोरम सामान्य रूप से केवल सहमत कार्यक्रमों पर ही विचार करेगा।
- फोरम द्वारा आयोजित कार्यक्रमों का वित्तीय भार इसके सदस्यों द्वारा वहन किया जाएगा।
- इस मंच का उपयोग किसी भी धर्म के प्रचार के लिए नहीं किया जाएगा।
- इस फोरम के तहत आयोजित कार्यक्रमों में किसी भी धर्म का कोई अनुष्ठान नहीं होगा।
- इस मंच का उपयोग किसी भी राजनीतिक उद्देश्य के लिए नहीं किया जाएगा.
